Discover Expert Insights: Global Lessons on Stuck Pipe Events and Cutting-Edge Techniques for U-Turn Laterals

While many directional drilling challenges prevent operators from drilling longer wells, it may be surprising to learn that drilling is the easiest part of drilling longer wells. The most challenging aspects of successfully constructing long-reach wells today are running and cementing production casing along with aspects related to the post-fac operations. All these complications (both drilling and completion) will be discussed to give the audience an understanding of all the different aspects associated with successfully drilling, deploying, and cementing tubular, and completing long-reach wells.

Our speaker, Mishal Abajusayn

Delve into the findings from the analysis of over fifty stuck pipe events. This comprehensive review will highlight key lessons learned, supported by intriguing case studies from outside the United States. The session will conclude with essential strategies for achieving success in long U-Turn laterals within unconventional reservoirs. We'll also explore how these strategies relate to managing general stuck pipe risks and enhancing performance in standard long, high-angle intervals.
