Vivum's autonomous downhole drilling and geo-steering technology

Vivum brings a new era of efficiency and precision to the industry.

Vivum does this by leveraging cutting-edge downhole intelligence, this system processes multiple sensor streams in real-time, enabling instant decision-making at depth without surface communication delays. Its self-optimized geosteering continuously adapts to formation changes, ensuring maximum accuracy and efficiency. With immediate dysfunction response capabilities, it detects and mitigates drilling issues in real-time, reducing non-productive time (NPT) and equipment wear.

Designed for smooth deployment, this ultra-efficient technology operates seamlessly on existing hardware without the need for GPUs or additional sensors, making advanced drilling solutions more accessible and effective than ever.

VIVUM's Speakers

Tanmay Rajpathak

Mr. Rajpathak is a commercial and technical leader with a decade of experience bridging AI technology and the oil & gas sector.

As the Manager of Sales & Business Development at Vivum AI, he is responsible for cultivating and owning key relationships and driving commercial initiatives in embodied autonomy and drilling

applications.

Prior to joining Vivum AI, Tanmay spent over a decade in the oil & gas industry, working at Element Six on the cutting edge of PDC cutters. Tanmay also built one of the pioneering AI based dull grading app for PDC cutters.

Tanmay holds a master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Florida, with a focus on machine learning and robotics, and is passionate about translating deep-tech innovations into high-impact industrial solutions.

Dr. Derek Whitley

Dr. Derek Whitley is a United States Navy veteran (CTM2-SW), Visiting Assist Professor at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, as well as the CTO and co-founder of Vivum AI: a dual-use company pioneering evolutionary artificial intelligence.

Holds a dual PhD from Indiana University Bloomington in Complex Systems and Cognitive Science.

His research in neuromorphic computing has been sought and funded by NASA, the United States Air Force, and Office of Naval Research for its widespread application of machine autonomy in size, weight, and power constrained environments.

He has led the scientific team at Vivum in the development of a nextgeneration AI technology that reduces the power requirement of neural networks by 6000 times.
